Reader feedback

As a journalist, I’m not used to getting a lot of reader feedback on my work; even in this age when people can post comments to stories online, it still doesn’t seem to happen much to my mind.

That’s why it warmed my heart to receive this piece of feedback from an editor at the Toronto Star. Apparently, a 93-and-a-half-year-old woman named Grace phoned (!) the paper and “wanted us to know that this is a wonderful series. The men are wonderful, and they are such touching stories.” She added that she will be buying a copy of Nobody’s Father and congratulated the Star for running excerpts this week.
